Software Engineer
Over the course of six rigorous months at App Academy, I've learned many different technologies including two coding languages, a few different libraries, and a couple RDBMS. Here are a few of the projects I've completed during my tenure at App Academy!
My first group project I've ever done and was a great learning experience that allowed me to understand how to incorporate myself into a group working environment where we all worked on multiple different components from the front end and backend simultaneously.

A Twitter clone for car enthusiasts and a fullstack project where I incorporated Flask as the backend and React for the frontend. ShiftTalkers allows users to create posts and leave comments. More features will be added soon, stay tuned!

An AirBnB clone and my first solo fullstack project that was created using an Express backend and React frontend. It was a very challenging time, but overall a great and fun experience for me to finally implement all of my recently acquired knowledge on JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Express and to create a full working website from scratch.

We utilized Google's Gemini AI to create an AI-powered calorie tracker to simplify the process of managing an individual's diet. As a team, we decided to challenge ourselves by using tech stacks that were not only popular, but also new to us.
Sustain is a user-friendly platform designed to simplify diet management by enabling users to seamlessly log their meals through either text or voice input. By harnessing the power of Gemini AI, the app automatically tracks caloric intake and generates personalized dietary recommendations tailored to the user's health goals and preferences. This intelligent system makes it easy for individuals to stay on top of their nutrition and make informed decisions about their diet.
GitHub linkI'm a software engineer with nearly 10 years of experience as an automotive technician at BMW Manufacturing, where I built a strong foundation in problem solving, precision, and ownership by diagnosing and repairing complex production vehicles. My curiosity for how systems work led me to writing my first console.log, and I pursued software engineering through App Academy, where I built full stack applications using JavaScript, Python, React, Flask, SQL, and modern web technologies.
Since then, I've gained hands on experience through a software engineering internship at Method and a six month apprenticeship with Build Carolina. At Method, I collaborated with cross functional teams including product managers and designers, following Jira based agile workflows, delivering MVP features, managing tickets, and building pixel perfect components from Figma designs. During my apprenticeship at Oratia, I contributed to a production codebase in a fast paced startup environment, owning feature implementation from requirements to execution, leveraging AI assisted tools to ship efficiently, debugging and improving functionality, and building responsive mobile experiences to ensure cross device usability.
